History

September 1995: Tango Shipping was established in Istanbul as a brokerage service provider. The company made a strong entry into the industry with a customer-focused approach and quickly became a trusted name.
2006: The company transitioned into shipownership and acquired its first vessel, with a capacity of 1,700 mts, marking Tango Shipping’s initial step into the maritime transport sector.
2007: A second vessel with a capacity of 1,200 mts was added to the fleet, expanding operations to carry more cargo.
2008: Before the global economic crisis, the company strategically sold all its vessels to preserve capital.
2009 - 2011: Tango Shipping adopted a fleet expansion strategy, growing its fleet to six vessels.
2011 - 2016: In addition to shipownership, the company began offering agency services, expanding its service range within the industry.
2016: Management decided to renew the fleet and increase vessel capacities. During this period, larger tonnage vessels were acquired, and smaller vessels were sold. The company focused entirely on shipownership.
2017: Two modern vessels with a capacity of 9,000 mts joined the fleet, enhancing operational capacity while smaller tonnage vessels were sold.
2019: MV Onego Capri was added to the fleet, further increasing Tango Shipping’s carrying capacity.
2021 - Present: The company now operates three modern vessels with capacities ranging from 8,500 to 9,300 DWCC, meeting the diverse needs of its clients.
